What it does well

A job offer comparison calculator is strong when you want to compare salary, bonus, pension salary sacrifice, and net pay under the same assumptions.

What it does not solve on its own

It does not measure the quality of a manager, flexibility, equity upside, commute strain, culture, job security, or career trajectory.

Best use

Treat the calculator as the cash-compensation layer of the decision. Once that is clear, combine it with the non-cash factors that matter to you.
